7th Annual Waikoloa Women's Golf Challenge
November 7 - 9, 2008

This annual event hosted by the Waikoloa Beach & Golf Resort on Hawaii's Big Island brings together female golfers from across the country for a two-day golf tournament on Waikoloa's world-class golf courses.

Tournament play, with two-person teams, begins Saturday, November 8th, and concludes on Sunday, November 9th, at the Kings' Course. Saturday's first round, a shamble (a modified scramble) event, will be followed by a champagne luncheon at the Kings' Grille. On Sunday, the tournament will culminate with a low-net best-ball format, followed by an awards luncheon at the Kings' Grille. In addition to great tournament golf, this year's event will also feature a draw party and practice round.

Among the special attractions at the Waikoloa Women's Golf Challenge will be Waikoloa's LPGA Touring Professional Cindy Rarick. Rarick will bring her charismatic personality to the evening functions and will share her abundant golf knowledge by providing a golf clinic for the women. The Waikoloa Women's Golf Challenge supports two worthy causes: the non-profit Waikoloa Foundation and the Hawaii State Women's Golf Foundation. The tournament has raised over $28,000 in recent years for these organizations.

The cost for the tournament is $675 per tournament participant, $1350 per team or $225 per accompanying non-player guest. Hilton Waikoloa Village is offering a special room rate for participants in the Waikoloa Women's Golf Challenge. For more information contact Waikoloa Golf at 808-886-5524.
